How do I set up the days and times for the market to open and close?
Opening and closing the market is not an automatic thing, because there will be many time you want to open early or close late. So instead, I've made it very easy to do it yourself.
There are links to open and close the market for customers (and a similar set for growers) at the top of your Market Manager section. To open the market for orders, click on "Enable customer ordering" at the top of the Market Manager admin box on the Your Account page. Click it again to close the market.
However, most market managers open their markets by posting a new weblog entry that gets mailed out to all their market's customers. There's a checkbox on the new weblog entry form that will send it out as an email, and another box that open the market. If you do that, you do not have to click the link on the Your Account page.
Right below that link on the Your Account page, there is a similar link to turn on and off the ability for your growers to add new products. Many markets like to have all the growers list their items before market opens, and this is how you can enforce that.
So, it's not an automatic thing to program in, but it's only a single mouse click.
