distribution location
When we remove a distribution location that person now has no distribution location selected, supposedly it is called NONE.
From what I see if that if that person places an order and does not select a distribution location than the order is cancelled.
Is that designed that way?
If so is there a better way to (more obvious) way to let them know that their order cannot go through if they don't select a distribution location.
Thanks

There is nothing in the system that will automatically cancel an order for any reason.
Can you give me more info? Names, order numbers, etc.?

Hi Eric,
It did it for the third time.
One of my customers Jeanette Farley wants some brochures and some
information to use to help find us a new distribution site. (The person
that oversaw their distribution site had a job change) So as a reminder to
myself I was placing an order for her for free brochures/a packet for her
to take to a business. There is no price on these things. Each time at
the checkout I change to her name, I do not select a distribution site for
her and than I select place order now. After that at the top it says all
items have been removed.
Is it because there is no cost to the free brochures?
I thought it was that no distribution site was selected. I have had
customers in the past just request free brochures and the order went
through.
Thanks
Marian

I'll look into this further. When you order in someone else's name, the system has to merge your shopping cart with their shopping cart, and that can be dicey. That's what's going on here -- the merge couldn't happen for some reason. If they order themselves, this won't happen. I'll see if I can see exactly what's going and, if nothing else, offer a better message.

Hi Eric,
I did place two orders for other people and they worked fine. One was for
Sharon Aliff and another was for Patricia Aldrich.
It seems to only be a problem when I'm placing an order for someone who
wants brochures about CSA Farmers Market, which we don't charge for.
I appreciate your looking into this.
This last order cycle we had two customers whose order went through twice.
It was odd.
